The Sustainable Events Conference is coming to the EUREF Campus in February 2027

How can business events respond to changes in society, the economy and the environment while remaining future-proof?

To explore this question, the GCB German Convention Bureau e. V. invites participants to the Sustainable Events Conference – Shaping the Future (SECON) on 24 and 25 February 2027, at the EUREF Campus in Düsseldorf.

Under the guiding theme of resilience, the conference brings together event organisers, agencies, venues, service providers, companies, destinations and associations.

It takes a holistic look at the entire business events value chain – from venues, hotels and partners to companies and event organisers, as well as participants and policymakers who shape the wider framework.

Together, participants will explore how the industry can continue to evolve and strengthen its resilience and ability to adapt to crises and change.

The conference focuses on the different dimensions of resilience. Alongside environmental considerations, topics include economic stability, social responsibility, reliable processes and effective communication. The aim is to open up new perspectives, share experiences and develop practical approaches that help build the skills and capabilities needed for the future.

In doing so, SECON also draws on the momentum of the United Nations’ “International Year of Sustainable and Resilient Tourism 2027”, translating its ambitions into practical applications for the business events industry.

The EUREF Campus provides the ideal setting for professional exchange, cross-industry networking and collaborative thinking about the future. As the venue partner, we are delighted to be working with the German Convention Bureau to bring this important industry event to life.
