Relevant for events

The EUREF-Campus Berlin is more than just its 10 individual event venues – it is a place where cutting-edge energy solutions are already in use today. That is precisely what makes it so special for events: Everything that happens here is embedded in an integrated energy system with a clear focus on efficiency and emissions reduction.

At the heart of it all is a smart energy concept that allows the campus to function largely as a networked system. Energy is generated locally, controlled digitally, distributed as needed, and stored. A data-driven control system links buildings, energy flows, and weather and market data – with the goal of using energy as efficiently as possible.

This is based, among other things, on a combined heat and power plant fueled by certified biomethane, as well as energy-efficient building standards such as KfW55 and LEED Platinum-certified buildings. The system is complemented by technologies such as power-to-heat/cold and a second-use battery made from electric vehicle batteries.

This creates a forward-looking interplay of energy generation, storage, and use that contributes to reducing operational CO₂ emissions.

The key point: This concept is not a future scenario, but a reality in practice. While events, conferences, and gatherings take place on campus, this very system runs in the background – bringing innovative energy solutions to life in operation.

For EUREF Event, this means a clear point of differentiation: events gain depth of content and credibility. Anyone hosting an event here is part of an environment where sustainable development and future-oriented infrastructure are being put into practice.
