Berlin Freedom Conference – Lighthouse event at the Gasometer event location

On November 10, 2025, the EUREF Campus Berlin became the venue for an extraordinary event: the first Berlin Freedom Conference. The high-profile conference used the Gasometer, one of the most impressive and sustainable event locations in Berlin, as a stage for international dialogues on freedom, democracy, and global responsibility.

The event was opened by Berlin’s Governing Mayor Kai Wegner, together with Burkhard Kieker (visitBerlin), Antje Schippmann (Axel Springer Freedom Foundation), and representatives of the World Liberty Congress, including Masih Alinejad and Leopoldo López.

With over 60 international speakers—including Garry Kasparov, Nobel Peace Prize winner Oleksandra Matviichuk, and Audrey Tang, Taiwan’s first digital minister—the event offered a program that attracted worldwide attention. Leading voices from German politics, including Bundestag President Julia Klöckner and Education Minister Karin Prien, were also in attendance.

With this event, the EUREF Campus Berlin has once again proven itself to be a first-class venue for conferences, business events, and political gatherings. The Gasometer impressed with its iconic architecture, state-of-the-art event technology, and the unique atmosphere of an urban location of the future.
