#ZeroWasteCapitalBerlin

From November 3 to 30, 2025, the Zero Waste Action Weeks will take place in Berlin – all about waste prevention and resource conservation. The aim is to show how Berlin is already implementing sustainable solutions today – with exciting workshops, lectures, campaigns and specialist events on topics such as the circular economy, sustainable consumption and resource conservation.

We at EUREF-Event GmbH and the EUREF-Campus Berlin are once again taking part and are fully committed to supporting this initiative.

As the operator of the restaurants on the EUREF-Campus Berlin – including the Café im Wasserturm and the WERKSTATT Bistro – we show how sustainable gastronomy is put into practice.

Sustainability is part of our DNA and we live this in our restaurants, among other things:

🟠 Seasonal & regional: We cook with ingredients from the region and the season – for short distances and fresh products.

🟠 Strong partnerships: We work closely with local suppliers to minimize transport routes and promote the regional economy.

🟠 Resource-conscious production: Our kitchens reflect daily production quantities to avoid overproduction and food waste.

🟠 Sustainable enjoyment – even to go: With Vytal as a campus-wide reusable system, we rely on plastic-free, reusable packaging.

Our Zero-Waste-Offer from November 03 to 30, 2025

For four weeks, we serve a different zero-waste dish every day in our lunch restaurants – sometimes vegetarian, sometimes as a soup or with meat. The decisive factor here is not the direction, but the approach: each dish is conceived holistically, the ingredients are fully utilized, creatively interpreted and prepared as resource-efficiently as possible – with minimal waste.

To kick things off, for example, our guests can look forward to a carrot soup with pesto made from carrot greens and crispy chips from the peel.

Sustainably certified: “Sustainable Berlin”

EUREF-Event GmbH is certified according to the “Sustainable Berlin” standard – an initiative of visitBerlin and the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises. The program recognizes companies that act sustainably in the areas of ecology, social affairs and economic efficiency. It commits to transparent measures and continuous improvement – from energy efficiency and waste management to fair working conditions and regional value creation.

This is our contribution to making Berlin the zero-waste and sustainability capital – day by day, plate by plate.
